True Mother delivered this address at the Second Prayer Rally for the Salvation of the Homeland on January 9, at the Cheongshim World Peace Center.

Distinguished religious leaders gathered here today and in all other parts of the world as well!

My earnest wish is to see a truly peaceful world. As 2021 draws to its end, we have learned of Heaven’s profound and mysterious wisdom. All religions have reached the end of the line, yet we need to realize the world of peace Heaven is looking forward to and all humankind longs for.

Consider all that took place in the world this year. We not only had the coronavirus pandemic, but in many parts of the world, climate change also caused heavy rain and wildfires. Recently, there was a massive wildfire in Colorado and tornadoes in the central United States. Of course, these caused astronomical property damage. Human casualties seem to be happening one after another.

Therefore, we must unite, be of one heart. Global changes make us realize once again that human effort has limits. The only way for us to become one is to become children of the Creator God, who is the owner of the universe. However, human beings have the problem of having the responsibility of following the Principle of Creation despite the desires of their hearts.

Because God could not abandon fallen people, he has been carrying out his providence of salvation. God has carried out his providential work through his chosen people. Though they may be the chosen people, they still need to fulfill their responsibilities in order to receive Heaven’s blessings.

After four thousand years of preparation, the providence to save and restore through indemnity the people of Israel began when Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten son, was sent to earth. At the time, Israel was a vassal state of the great Roman Empire. At a time when it was said that all roads led to Rome, Heaven’s providence carried out through the people of Israel was begun with much urgency.

 The Roman Empire at the time was in a situation in which its very future was unpredictable, with many broken families and young people in chaos. In contrast, the families of the people of Israel stood firm and strong with God at their center; the Roman Empire wished to follow that example. However, those who should have helped him, such as Mary, Zechariah’s family, Judaism and the people of Israel, all failed in fulfilling their responsibilities.

God had toiled for four thousand long years to send his only begotten son, and yet, the people of Israel, who should have formed a protective environment in which he could carry out his mission, sent him to the cross. Jesus had no place to stand. On the path to the cross, he said that he would come again. He said he would hold the Feast of the Lamb upon his return. He meant that he would seek out his bride.

The Korean people must serve God

Since then, the history of Christianity has continued for two thousand years. The truth is, however, that Christians have not known Jesus’ true nature or God the Creator’s true nature. In light of that, even though Christianity put love first, the great powers in the world prioritized their own interests before all else. In their egoism, they did not practice Jesus’ love, and this brought about the end of the age of the Atlantic Civilization.

The Creator, however, exists forever. He created everything in the world with eternity in mind. Only the True Parents, who were born among fallen humankind with the condition of not having fallen, can save humankind. The only begotten son was born two thousand years ago. And yet, the only begotten daughter could not appear because the people of Israel were unable to fulfill their responsibilities.

Heaven then selected the Korean people as his chosen people and raised them in preparation for the birth of the only begotten daughter. That is why the Korean people need to advance to the position where they can serve God directly. To do that, they need to meet True Parents, be reborn and be resurrected. In other words, only through True Parents’ Blessing can they become Heavenly Parent’s children Heaven’s providence, oriented toward goodness, permitted different religions that best suited their localities to blossom. Nevertheless, the final destination of those religions and their leaders is the place where they can receive True Parents’ Blessing. Only then can the entire world truly serve our Heavenly Parent. And the realization of a heavenly unified Korea and heavenly unified world can occur only when those on the Korean Peninsula, which should become Heavenly Parent's homeland, fulfill their responsibilities.

Bring in the new year well

I would like to ask the politicians to please listen carefully. I have said before that there are limits to human effort. The Korean people, who should uphold Heaven’s providence, need to follow the path of practicing True Parents’ teachings, for it is only then that Korea, the Korean Peninsula blessed by Heaven, can become a heavenly unified Korea and ultimately realize a heavenly unified world of true freedom, peace, equality and happiness under our Heavenly Parent.

Only twenty or so days remain until the [heavenly calendar] New Year. Not only those of you gathered here today, but all religious believers in the world, need to join their hearts in fervent prayer and devotion in order to reveal to the world Heaven’s authority by which our Heavenly Parent can be substantially manifested on earth in order to govern it. The Korean people need to fulfill their responsibility to create such an environment, and we all need to work together to realize a world of true peace and happiness. You are now living in the golden age blessed by Heaven, which can only come once in your lives as well as once in history.

Therefore, you need to work hard so that the record of honor will read: “You have fulfilled your responsibilities. Heaven’s blessings and grace are overflowing in your families, your nations and the world. You are Heavenly Parent’s true children, who made this possible.” Please know that the moment when this is recorded will be an unforgettable moment of eternal blessing for all of you. As long as God is with us, we will certainly usher in a new year filled with hope and life. Let us endeavor to make that a reality. Thank you.
