Moving Toward a New Era and History

True Mother gave this speech at the Special Leaders’ Meeting for the Settlement of the Unified, Heavenly Korea on July 16 in Yongpyong Resort’s Grand Ballroom, Greenpia.

We are now at the moment of truth. We have set our goal. We cannot have division between brothers and sisters. We need to unite as one. True Parents’ wish is for us to realize Heavenly Parent’s dream on earth. It should not remain as theory, like history recorded in the Bible; we must substantially realize it. The True Parents of humanity—found and established six thousand years after the fall of humankind—should set the example of living in attendance to Heavenly Parent on earth. In the process of our devoting all our energies to realizing this and heading toward a common goal, we will automatically achieve national restoration and world restoration. And this dream of Heavenly Parent’s, the purpose of creation, is eternal. Our leaders are worried about the future, but what we need to do is to educate others well and to set an example.

Find harmony with True Parents

For instance, a baby grows inside its mother’s womb for ten months before beginning its life on earth with a cry. Even after it’s birth, the baby needs to go through another growth period; it cannot start walking right away. Actually, in the animal kingdom, they often can, but for us human beings, we need the period of a year.

This is also the case in regard to Heaven’s providence. You may have heard the words of the Divine Principle and understood it in theory, become Unification Church members, gone on to become blessed couples and assumed positions of responsibility. However, you still need to lead a life in rapport with True Parents, even if you live thousands of miles away from them physically. I like to cite the example of a sunflower, which always faces the sun, no matter whether it is sunny or cloudy. The same should be true of you. Once you have learned about True Parents, you need to lead lives during which you experience the feeling of living and thinking at the center of True Parents’ hearts.

I don’t know what you gained from what I have said so far, but my life has been one in which I believed Heavenly Parent to be my father from the moment of my birth and I have lived seventy-seven years knowing Heavenly Parent as my parent. From the human perspective, that I have gone through many difficulties is true. When I assumed the position of True Parent in 1960, my marathon toward the world environment began. The goal of this marathon is to reach the starting point of a new era and a new history. For me, this process was one of patience and endurance that you cannot even imagine, in which I thought only of Heavenly Parent. Heaven alone knows this. So please do not talk about this and that theoretically. During my time on earth, while I am still living, I must realize Heavenly Parent’s wish and give birth to humanity through Heavenly Parent’s bosom. I need to guide humankind. That is True Parents’ responsibility.

The importance of filial love

I will talk about one thing in particular. Heaven sent True Parents to earth for this one period in time and bestowed the blessing through which you can feel True Parents’ love. Water is the source of life! We would die if we could not drink water. The same is true for nature. From now on, the word “hyojeong” [filial piety] should be in the name of every project and product that the Foundation and other organizations create. The name of the water that springs from Mt. Balwang will be “Hyojeongsu.”

Since the human fall until now, humanity has been unfilial to Heaven. In this Cheon Il Guk age, every person who drinks Hyojeongsu will be able to experience Heavenly Parent and True Parents. Such is the grace and blessing of this water. This is what you need to tell others. Do you understand what I am saying? People who are hurting inside and outside will be able to gain the energy to go on with their lives by drinking Hyojeongsu. This is the grace and love Heavenly Parent has bestowed on True Parents. Do you understand?

I have told you that from now on, you should add the letters HJ at the beginning of every name given to projects, no matter how small. This hotel is the HJ Magnolia Yongpyong Hotel, isn’t it? It means hyojeong. As Cheonbo families, you need to teach your tribes about hyojeong. Once you do that, miracles will take place naturally. You will have faith, won’t you? And do not forget to drink lots of Hyojeongsu before you go home.
