Hello dear members and welcome to another edition of HJ Global News. The 4th Gathering of Hope marking the 1st anniversary of the founding of WCLC was held with great success, with the participation of thousands of religious leaders and peace-loving citizens from around the world. In this edition of HJ Global News, we will focus exclusively on this major event, which called for harmony and cooperation among religions with a view to achieve a heavenly, unified Korea and a heavenly unified world.

Rally of Hope to Celebrate the 1st Anniversary of the World Christian Leadership Conference and Support the Realization of a Heavenly Unified World

The Rally of Hope marking the 1st Anniversary of the founding of WCLC was held on December 5th under the theme "Achieving a Heavenly Unified World". It was broadcasted live via the PeaceLink online platform, via a two-way link between Korea and the United States. Building on the foundation of the American Clergy Leadership Conference established in 2000, the International Christian Leadership Conference, WCLC, was created in December 2019 in New York City, with the participation of nearly 30,000 religious leaders and people of faith from around the world. This last WCLC gathering was a wonderful event attended by thousands of peace-loving citizens. The event was covered by the media around the world. Masters of Ceremonies, Dr. Yun, Young-ho, Director-General, FFWPU International Headquarters, and Archbishop George Stallings, introduced the event by presenting the True Parents' vision of peace.

God is the Heavenly Parent of Humanity. God is humanity’s eternal parent of true love, true life and true lineage. Without the parent, there can be no harmony between brothers and sisters.

Peace Starts with Me. It starts right here, right now!

 

After a beautiful artistic performance by Grammy Award winner Reverend Hezekiah Walker, accompanied by a large choir, and religious leaders from around the world joined together to make a spiritual offering for peace.

Seven of them representing Christianity, the Eastern Orthodox Church, Judaism and Islam. They conducted the water ceremony, expressing their desire for the original world of peace intended by God.

This was followed by several messages of peace from religious leaders of different countries, many of whom are known for their lives of service to others. They stressed that it was now time for the religious of the world to establish a solid network and work towards a world of peace.

If we have dialogue with other religions, we should have our common answer to the questions, to the problems, common Christian answers. And for this activity, for this purpose, we need structures and projects, such as this project in which we now participate in this conference of Christian leaders.

 

 

After giving glory and praise to Heavenly Parent, other prominent religious leaders highly respected in their respective countries insisted that the vision of a heavenly unified Korea and world can only be realized by receiving God's love.

We as clergy, as people of faith, call the body of Christ together to abide, which means to stand firm in God’s love, to extend peace, to extend His love, to see His love cover our nation and all nations, to bring them to Him, a true knowledge of who He is, a true knowledge of walking in that love. So, I pray that you, myself, along with Mother Moon will be a part of that great restoration.

Mother Moon made tremendous progress, and I am sure they made progress at a great personal sacrifice on your part. This is why they call you the Mother of Peace.

 

The "Praise Starts With Me" choir then lifted all the participants with their beautiful and divine songs. In a special address, True Mother spoke on the essence of the providential story and delivered a message of hope to the United States and the world.

 

True Mother

God is the Heavenly Parent of humankind. Heavenly Parent had longed and whom all people need to meet and discover. It is all of you, particularly religious leaders in America and throughout the world, that must let people know about True Parents, and lead everyone to become Heavenly Parent’s children. You have the responsibility to embrace and guide all people with one united heart. When you fulfill that responsibility it will create a new history. Puritans in Europe were longing for the freedom of faith by which they could freely worship God. This led them to set out for the new world where they could express their faith freely. In 1620 they journeyed to America, and the very first thing they did was build a chapel where they could worship God. Then for the education of future generations they built a school. Only after this did they build their own homes. This is to say, the starting point of the United States was people’s resolve to build a nation that served God. That is why we see the statement “In God We Trust” even on American money today. The United States, however, has encountered a lot of storms during the 400 years of its history. Family breakdown, juvenile delinquency, drug problems, sexual immorality and abuse were signs of the impending collapse of the Roman Empire. When these same sign of breakdown arose in America, because we are the True Parents we moved to the United States and, for almost forty years, continuously invested our effort there We clung on to God, who was at the point of leaving America, and implored Him to give that nation another chance to fulfill its responsibility. In those days, as we walked the streets of Manhattan, our tears did not stop falling. At that time, lot of young people in the United States—even hippies—followed True Parents, and we began to write a new history. They matured in their love, and in 1975 many went out as missionaries to the world. Among these, many are still continuing to take responsibility in their mission countries. As people who deeply understand Heavenly Parent’s heart and understand True Parents, they continue to labor until this day with the resolve to become sons and daughters who fulfill Heavenly Parent’s dream, even until their very last breath. America today, which God has blessed, must, through fulfilling its responsibility and bearing results, be able to write a new history. Please forgive the American politicians and create unity. The United States can maintain its existence only through harmony and unity. Pastors, members of the clergy in America and throughout the world: Let’s create One Great Family under our Heavenly Parent. Please raise your voices and work together. I give you my blessing for this.

 

True Mother once again revealed her heart of a parent by reminding us of her life of true love for the good of humanity, and offering her blessings for the establishment of a heavenly America and a heavenly world. Subsequently, Archbishop Chysostomos Celi, a true artisan of interreligious harmony in Latin America, Prophet Samuel Radebe, the leading figure in the blessing of 100,000 couples in Africa, Archbishop Kelvin Felix, who was made a Cardinal by Pope Francis, all testified to the life of True Parents and called for interreligious harmony to solve the problems of our times.

Ever since, the world has been striving towards that goal and today we are witnessing one of the fruits of Father and Mother Moon’s lifetime efforts to embrace leaders of different faiths and religions to inspire them to work towards that noble purpose.

I have come to appreciate the vision and love of Mother Moon for all humankind. For me, she is really a God sent.

I believe she created a new dawn for South Africa! As we celebrate this anniversary of WCLC, let us do so with deep introspection and respond positively to Mother Moon’s call to work with her to solve the problems plaguing our world today.

 

 

Today, through WCLC, Christian clergy and thousands of believers around the world, today, we are making the dream of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity, which began in 1954, a reality. Young people from IAYSP USA, Christian leaders and believers from around the world sang together songs depicting the reunification of Korea. They pledged to become the bedrock of True Parents and to lead a life dedicated to realizing their dream.
